a week at the beach

ok everyone i am back!

so i apologize once again for being gone for awhile but i have been too busy enjoying myself to care about you guys...kidding.

so my apartment is finally ready, it would have been prepared earlier but the person in charge had to take leave due to a loss in the family, so i said take as long as needed. I will be moving in tomorrow and i'm sure it will be wonderful. So i am sure you are wondering what i was doing and the answer would be relaxing at the beach. In egypt there is a resort called "Ghazala" (pronounce re-zal-ah) and it was absolutely stunning. Now as most of you should know i am not much of a beach person, and after spending time in ghazala...i am still not a beach person, but i still had fun! I stayed with my tunt nabila where i did a lot of reading, soccer, swimming in the ocean, and just sitting on the sand taking in the wonders of God and just resting up. It was however not all play, for i took the time to observe and learn stuff about egypt. Last post i commented on the driving and the traffic of egypt, let me now comment on the people of egypt; they are amazing.
I'll start with my family. My family is truly unbelievable to the amount they go for their own and others. I have been just in awe of how much they do and how they do it with so much joy and no complaints. God has truly given them the love for strangers because they treat everyone like their own and its a real testimony of how i wish to be one day. My cousins Siso and Hala and my tunt nablia are so cool and one day i hope to be as giving as they are

These people are so nice and friendly that it just blows me away. People open their homes to you say hello how are you whenever eye contact is made and they sit down and talk with you. The hospitality is very nice too always you are offered a drink, a drink you're not allowed to refuse because they harass you to have one (i love it), whenever you have dinner at someone's place you must take more than one serving no matter what (i love it), but my favorite thing is whenever someone is joking about you or makes fun of you you shake hands immediately after. So someone is like "haha its about time you left! hahahaha" and shake hands. This is so cool and i cant wait to start meeting more people. I also spent a lot of time with my cousins, sami, carrol, and daniel. These three kids are pretty cool and we did a lot of fun things together. Kids are pretty amazing and i never really took the time to figure that out till this week. They give a lot of insight and have perspectives many of us i am sure have forgot about. Kids are like where its at yo, fo' serious.
But I was technically supposed to come back to Cairo on sunday the 12th but they made me stay till today because they found out it was my birthday. I was literally about to get into the car to drive away when my tunt comes barreling out of the house saying "STANI STANI! (WAIT WAIT!) and it was because someone HAD to remind her it was my birthday and instead they made me stay and bought me a cake and bought me cologne and we had a party. I will say it was very nice but i really didnt want it because i hate attention :/

I will pick the most censored because there are some pictures of me without my shirt on and i cant put that on the internet because of how intimidating my muscles would be, and when i say muscles i mean how hairy i am :'(
