Happy Eid

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has prepared their sheep for today to slaughter for the Eid...no? ok that makes sense. So in Egypt there is a Muslim holiday called Eid El-Adha (Adh-ha) which means basically "to cut the lamb". Basically its based on a story in the Qu'ran about how Allah asked of a man to sacrifice Ishmael but in the end provided a ram to be used instead. So in Egypt during this Eid everyone gets a sheep or a cow or whatever they can afford and all slaughter them together and give the meat out to the poor and feed them. Its to symbolize how Allah provides for them and in gratitude they give to those who truly need. I think its amazing the culture and mentality of this country...

anyway This post will be relatively short and I wont be updating for some time because I am headed to a Cruise! Yes, my first Cruise and it should be exciting. I do however have a fever currently and pray that it leaves me before I eventually have to start having fun. My temperature is like 38 degrees celcius which is a litle over 100 degrees fahrenheit so not too bad but its all good. Thank God that one's physical self has no effect on how one should feel overall so overall i am awesome. Why? well i guess i have to be happy because my little sister is here, haha. I am kidding i am very happy she is here. I took her to the pyramids and sneezed a lot but it was enjoyable. OH! Let me tell you guys about waiting for her arrival. She is supposed to land at 12:15pm in Cairo and we suppose it will take her about 30minutes to get through customs or whatever maybe an hour tops. But the plane gets delayed and is going to be 2 hours later so we wait and wait and then eventually she lands and comes through. But thats not why i bring this up. I dont care waiting i am somewhat patient and it was a nice day so its great, but here is what happens. I am standing at the gate waiting and people start filtering through and everyone is whatever an Egpytian here an American there, but then...oh man...this just HUGE guy comes out and all of us are in shock (when i say us me and all the other Egyptians waiting for our passengers) like i cant possibly describe how big this guy is i will show you a similar idea to what he is. This isnt an exaggeration i just "googled" big arms and I got this picture. Not exactly him but very close. Haha, wow he was scary.

(just imagine him in a yankees hat and a really really tight t-shirt...yuck)

But thats not the funny part all of us were just in awe until someone who hadnt noticed at first turned and was like "eh wahsh da!?" (ay weh-sh deh!?) this means "What is this monster!?" and that was a very accurate question because no one knew. Haha and then people were like "lazam tarzan wal la haga" ("must be tarzan or something") Anyway yeah that was nuts but its all good. I am headed to a cruise now and i will provide pictures or something from that trip. I hope everyone is good and well. Keep safe in the snow storms and beward these monsters out there....Lord he was huge...
